The reasons clients give, in their words
Not a values page. The four things clients actually cite when we ask why they stayed.

The short answer
Clients choose LDelight for four reasons: senior engineers do the work they scoped, you own the code and infrastructure with no lock-in, we hold no cloud-provider partner status so the architecture advice is unconflicted, and we say so when the answer is not to buy from us.
Key takeaways
- Senior engineers deliver the work they scoped
- No lock-in: you own the code, accounts and documentation
- No cloud partner status, so no margin riding on the architecture we recommend
- We tell you when the answer is not to buy from us
The people who scoped it are the people who build it
The standard agency model puts experienced people in the sales process and less experienced people on delivery. It is commercially rational and it is why so many engagements feel like a downgrade after the kick-off meeting.
We do not run that model. The architect in your scoping session is in your stand-ups, and we do not staff a project with people learning on it.
Nothing about our commercial position depends on lock-in
Your repositories are in your organisation. Your cloud accounts are in your name. Documentation is written so your team can operate the system without us. There is no escrow arrangement and no licensed component you have to keep paying for.
A client who can walk away and chooses not to is the only kind of retention worth having.
We hold no cloud partner status, and that is deliberate
We are not a reseller or certified partner of AWS, Microsoft or any other provider. That means no margin on the infrastructure we recommend, no tier to maintain, and no commercial reason to put you on one platform rather than another. When we tell you Azure suits you better than AWS, the only thing riding on it is whether we were right.
We will tell you not to buy
If the numbers do not support a rewrite, a migration or an AI project, we will say so before you commit a budget to it — even when the smaller answer is the less profitable one for us.
The alternative is a project that fails with our name on it, and we intend to be around long enough for that to matter more than one invoice.
We report the numbers, including the disappointing ones
Assessments are fixed-fee and the findings are yours whether or not you engage us to implement them. Case studies on this site state duration, team size and the measured outcome; when something took longer than planned, that goes in the write-up too. A portfolio where every project went perfectly is not a portfolio, it is a brochure.
